On a recent rainy Tuesday afternoon one hundred and fifty participants in a Young Judea program traveled to Sderot to show solidarity with area residents and to learn something about the people who live here. The students, attending colleges throughout the US and Canada, as well as England, toured the city center, walked into the bomb shelters, and stared at the huge, grotesque, protecting shelters spreading itself over the schools. On Tuesday, May 13, a group of Canadian, American, and British students visiting Israel for a year in Young Judea program, before going to college, stopped by for a two-hour tour of Sderot. The group of students, between 19 to 20 years, were taken around Sderot by Sderot Media Center’s Ran Tzabari. The tour went well, with the group actively participating and asking questions.

Around three o'clock in the afternoon, a group of American and Canadian students visiting Israel on a gap-year (Young Judea) program, with their advisor Sheldon Shulman, visited Sderot for two hours.
